GAEL Consultant has capitalized a large know-how inside its TELIMAGO system. This software development platform includes various librairies and standard image processing applications. Use of these librairies (format ingest, live-link, projection changes, orbital models, image display and analysis, vector management,...) allows to build tailored applications matching customers' needs. CORE module of TELIMAGO system contains classical image processing applications that are packaged around the specific software provided to customers.
TELIMAGO has been designed to process satellite imaging and to address this market first. Nevertheless, most of the techniques involved in satellite image processing are as much valid when applied to other image types.

This new distribution includes a large set of applications dedicated to
manipulate, visualize and dissect ALOS products (AVNIR-2 and PRISM levels 1A,
1B1 and all 1B2).
The ALOS image viewer is now available. This software is license free and can be downloaded at DAICHI viewer (BuildId 20060528042834) . This application makes possible the visualisation of all the ALOS PRISM and AVNIR-2 images, build snapshots, crop a part of the image pixels with free selection, inspects pixels values in the product, check the pixels lat/lon coordinates if a projection is defined, changes look up table, display a synchonized part of the image, zoom in/out, change the display scale, hotspot, the background color ... The application also make possible the overlapping of multiple images if a projection is defined and compatible for both images. Please do not hesitate to send your feedbacks at TELIMAGO team .

In the framework of ESA ALOS Cal/Val activities, GAEL Consultant
team used TELIMAGO to perform the first tests.
This new release (telimago-2-24-rc-10) includes the ALOS import and
live access to the AVNIR-2 and PRISM products instruments, based on
the specification document NEB-01006-Rev G and sample products provided
by Jaxa.
ALOS Expert tools (More information about the context of this project
are available at EOQC Team web
site
) proposes as first extended features the "Field Control" test,
saturated pixels, geometry using polynomial informations in the
products. Next implementations roadmap includes the implementation of
PRISM and AVNIR-2 sensor models, polynoms accuracy tests and
calibration tests. A big effort has been provided to be
able to define the ALOS expert tools distribution packaging, based on
linux debian and rpm package systems. Of course tar.gz archive is still
available and continue to be the main delivery packaging. Currently
only linux binaries are available.
Moreover, additional features had been developped closest to the
ALOS Cal/Val reference products decoding and sensor models (see
release notes for more details ...
).
In the scope of an ESA project, GAEL Consultant EOQC team used Telimago to validate the futur ENVISAT MERIS FR-FS-O products. To do that, reference Landsat mosaics and a reference Modis images had been re-mapped into the MERIS sensor model. The following diagram show the case of the Landsat mosaic over Senegal:
